Chapter 3

I learned from each group's presentation, as varied as they were, that communication and cooperative efforts blend enormously when technology is used. As I have experienced, to some degree, the evolution of the technological age from the Industrial Age, Informational Age, and Conceptual Age, my eyes are opened to the fact that information and the communication of that information is so readily available to anyone in the whole-wide-world community. Students of the 21st century will need to be prepared to go global for career options, and we as classroom instructors will also need the knowledge and experience of new and on-going technology.

Thing #4

Likes/Dislikes about leaving comments to fellow bloggers:
Anything new is sometimes discerning, but I think communicating with one another can be very insightful and educational. My first comment was very short and sweet in thanking my neighbor for her helpfulness today. Commenting is important in an online community because we get to help each other in understanding what was presented. Students who share online may not be very verbal in the classroom, and the window to the world opens up to them. I am not a member of an online community as yet.

Thing 3

Widget that I added were only subscription widget and profile. PC froze up, and I had to start over.
Had much difficulty in getting back to my blog.

thing 2

I can see Web 2.0 changing students' perspective of their education in a global community. Students are more globally connected than ever, and teachers will often times find that students are more in control of their own learning. This brings to mind how teachers can actually filter in the work place in meeting deadlines for projects completed in the classroom.
